Our Mission & Vision
The mission of our parish community is to love God, to love others, and to glorify the name of God through our prayer, celebration of the Eucharist and sacraments. Our Vision is to build up the Kingdom of God among us and make the disciples of Jesus Christ – our Lord and Saviour.
Pastoral Team:
Our pastoral team recognizes the authority of God and of the Church, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Church. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the Kingdom of God until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.
Pastor, Fr. Peter Gioppato, OMI
Fr. Peter, our pastor was born in Rome, Italy on 28th of June 1943. He was ordained priest on 29th of March 1969 in the Congregation of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. Arrived in Canada in October 1969. From 1977 until 1983 he was appointed to Holy Angels’ Parish as a Pastor for the first time. Then he served as Pastor of St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Toronto. In May 1996 he was assigned as a Bursar of the OMI General House in Rome. In August 2005, he returned to Toronto and became a Pastor of this parish for the second time and continue this mandate till now.
Associate Pastor,
Fr. Mariusz (Mario) Wilk, OMI
Fr. Mariusz was born in Bytom, Poland on 21st of August, 1977. Joined the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate in 1996. Studied in Rome, Italy were he was ordained a deacon. In 2002 he went for his missionary experience in Kenya where he was ordained a priest on the 6th of June 2004. He worked as missionary in Kenya till 2007. Before coming to Canada in 2009, he worked in Malmo, Sweden for two years. In 2010 he was appointed to our parish as Associate Pastor.
